Planning for the future of Radium Springs - 2004-01-13
Dougherty County - Now that the Radium Springs Casino is no more, what will happen to the land? The last thing the people living in the region want to
see is the natural wonder commercialized. And, they plan to make that clear to county and state leaders at an upcoming public hearing.

A fence now surrounds Radium Springs and the former site of the Casino which was torn down two months ago. "The real beauty to us was behind the Casino," said Nancy Barclay, Radium Springs homeowner.

Lawmakers Eye Gambling In Delaware - 2004-01-13
Debates on the future of gambling in Delaware may be in the cards for lawmakers when the General Assembly reconvenes this week, but whether proposals to develop gambling succeed is uncertain.

With Delaware facing possible competition from Maryland and Pennsylvania, whose governors want to establish slot machine casinos to generate revenue for state coffers, some lawmakers want to expand gambling options in the First State.

By some estimates, slot machines in Pennsylvania and Maryland could cost Delaware's general fund more than $100 million a year.
