State trooper from Chesterton fired for alcohol trouble - 2004-01-13
An Indiana State Police detective assigned to the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City was fired after having been arrested at the beginning of this month on an alcohol-related charge.
The detective was already serving a suspension for driving a police car while under the influence of alcoholic beverages in December.
Ernest J. Primerano Jr., 43, of Chesterton was fired last week by State Police Superintendent Melvin J. Caraway.
The action wasn’t announced publicly until Monday, after Primerano was notified of the decision, 1st Sgt. David Bursten said.
