Casino Boat to bring gambling back to Savannah riverfront - 2004-01-14
Ten years the last casino boats folded on Savannah's River Street, a new operation is set to roll the dice.

Three weeks ago, Savannah City Council approved a liquor license for Millionaire's Casino, a 187-foot boat capable of holding 450 passengers.

Its operating company, MPH Entertainment LLC, has signed a lease with Merritt Dixon III to tie up at the docks he owns in front of the Hyatt Regency Savannah. Opening is planned for March 1.

SHS to host fourth annual Casino Night fundraiser - 2004-01-14
Sacred Heart School will organize its fourth annual Tropicana Casino Night fundraiser Saturday, Jan 24.

Patrons are asked to help the children of this community by playing blackjack, roulette and craps. They will also have a chance to win a cruise.

The event will take place at Paws and Taws. Attendees will enjoy dinner; live, silent and Chinese
auctions; a raffle; door prizes and gaming. The live auction features such items as a seven-day cruise for two, fishing trips, crystal, gift baskets, jewelry and more.
