Colleges Target Job Training - 2004-01-16
A number of local colleges are introducing some new courses. Meridian Community College president Dr. Scott Elliott said Thursday that a college course to teach truck driving would be added to the offerings at MCC.

In addition, a possible new course to train those interested in casino management was disclosed by Dr. Nick Nichols, Dean of MSU-Meridian.

Casino's Crowds Dip As Revenue Increases - 2004-01-16
A casino in Boonville experienced a drop in attendance in November and December, but that doesn't mean the 3-year-old casino's winning streak has simmered down.

Despite a minor drop in total visitors for each of those months, the casino's gaming revenue increased during the same period - a sign the casino is maturing, said a financial analyst from the Missouri Gaming Commission.
