Frosene On The Scene: New Year Returns - 2004-01-16
The Eldorado Casino Hotel has hit the ground running. Last month, the casino declared the completion of its new casino cabaret and the addition of a popular high-limit slot area. This is all part of its two-year, $15 million hotel and casino renovation plan.

Situated on the main casino floor, the Casino Cabaret opened in time for the New Year. Although the slot area was completed in December, the official unveiling will be only next month. This exclusive area features state-of-the art plasma screen TVs, a luxurious bar, a selection of slot machines and private restrooms.

Arizona man sues wealthy Pechanga tribe to gain admission - 2004-01-16
An adopted man who believes his biological father was a Pechanga Indian is suing to get admission to the prosperous tribe.

Joe Liska, 43, said he will protest outside the Pechanga Casino in Temecula at 2 p.m. Saturday in an effort to coerce the band into enrolling him and his two children.

"This is not a club. This is a tribe. It's a blood right," Liska told The Press-Enterprise by telephone from his Arizona home. "It is going to do harm to Indian gaming and Indian country."
