Firm files demolition plan for AC Tropicana garage - 2004-01-17
A demolition plan has been filed for the section of Tropicana Casino and Resort parking lot that was destroyed Oct. 30, killing four employees, but casino officials and public agencies are keeping it close to the vest.

Key elements of the plan, filed by Brandenburg Industrial Service Co., were withheld from public review by officials of the state Department of Community Affairs, which released an outline but removed construction drawings from it beforehand.

Bright Spot For Smokers At Casinos - 2004-01-17
Convinced that no casino exemption from Delaware's indoor smoking ban is likely, Dover Downs is constructing three permanent pavilions for gamblers who smoke.

Construction of the pavilions, which will have permanent heating and air-conditioning, coincides with changes to make way for 500 additional slot machines authorized last year by the General Assembly. As of Friday, 80 of the 500 new machines had been delivered, including the first $5 machines to be located outside a high-rollers area at the casino's south end.
