Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts, Inc. revealed today
it's decision not to take part in the bidding process to merge with the bankrupt Emerald Casino, Inc. as a means of obtaining an Illinois riverboat license.
THCR has aligned with the South Suburban communities of Crestwood, Riverdale, Blue Island, Ford Heights, Alsip, Midlothian, Posen, Robbins, Calumet Park and Phoenix, and supports the efforts
of the South Suburban communities to develop a riverboat casino to be located in Crestwood. THCR believes that the gaming taxes and jobs generated from a Crestwood riverboat would do much to bolster the economy of the South Suburbs.

Several factors compel THCR to conclude that an alternative means of obtaining a riverboat license for the South Suburbs is necessary.

A cabbie for Green and White Taxi told police he was called to Mystic Lakes Casino in Prior Lake on Thursday to take 55-year old Ray Freese and a companion from the casino back to Austin.

The cabbie said he was promised payment for the 160-mile round-trip ride by credit card when they got to Austin, but it turned out that two credit cards Freese offered for payment were no good.
