Casino Survey Mailing Going To Madison Residents - 2004-01-19 Supporters of a proposed Dane County casino want to know what your opinions about it are. They are mailing a questionnaire to thousands of voters to poll and gain support from Madison residents.
The first half of the questionnaire focuses on the benefits supporters say a casino would bring. Then, voters are asked to choose how they would want the revenue spent.

Burswood strikes it lucky on high roller tables - 2004-01-19 Burswood shares rallied after Perth's casino operator revealed an unaudited first half operating profit of roughly $23 million.
The Burswood International Casino Resort operator posted just $4.5 million net profit after tax in the first half of 2002-03, having been hit by lucky high rollers in its international commission business. It posted a full year net profit of $11.1 million.
