Malaysia Genting Cos To Buy Global Loyalty Card Firm - 2004-01-19
Malaysian casino operator Genting Bhd. (3182.KU) Monday said two companies controlled by the group plan to jointly purchase Worldcard International Ltd., an operator of a global loyalty card program.

Calidone Ltd., a unit of Genting International Plc., and Star Cruise Ltd., a unit of Singapore-listed Star Cruises Ltd. (S21.SG), will buy nearly all of the 1 million Worldcard shares for about $1 million, Genting Bhd. said in a statement.

The two Genting companies will take almost equal stakes in Worldcard.

Firebomb find puts Shibuya police on high alert - 2004-01-19
A potential firebomb made from gas cylinders with an ignition device attached to them was placed in front of a closed casino in Shibuya, Tokyo, Monday morning, putting police on high alert as they searched the bustling shopping area for other bombs.

Two arson attacks were committed with gas cylinders in Shibuya-ku in December, and police suspect that the same criminal is responsible for setting the firebomb on Monday.
