Trump Bows Out of Emerald License Hunt - 2004-01-20
Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts , the gaming empire operated by real estate mogul Donald Trump, said on Monday it would not submit an offer to purchase bankrupt Emerald Casino and instead would seek another way to obtain an Illinois riverboat license.

Illinois has been expecting to get $350 million from the license, which also will provide casino operators already working in the state a tax rollback.

Pinnacle Entertainment Vice President of Construction, Cliff Kortman, states the premier casino-resort is developing:

"We are actually right on schedule as it relates to the land based facilities, couple of days ahead on some certain site issues. The boat itself is about six weeks ahead of schedule so we'll be launching another hull in a little less than thirty days and then the final hull will be in the water February 20th, so its going very well."
