No one, except the Jena Band of Choctaws, who have a reasonable profit motive, can give us any rational reason for yet another gambling venue in Louisiana.
That is the case whether or not the state gets a tax bite of the action. Louisiana is covered with gambling opportunities within an easy drive of any Louisiana resident, at truck stops and casinos, restaurants and convenience stores, even church bingo halls.
Anyone with a passion for gambling in this state has a place to satisfy the craving.
