D'Iberville casino one step closer to reality - 2004-01-21
For the second time in six years, the Commission on Marine Resources on Tuesday approved a license for casino development in D'Iberville.

The commission voted 3-1 to give a permit for the $76.2 million Royal D'Iberville casino, which would be situated west of the Interstate 110 bridge.

"We're very pleased," said D'Iberville Mayor Rusty Quave. "We've been working at this project for 10 years."

KENOSHA: Developer touts casino's economic benefits - 2004-01-21
The Menominee Nation casino complex proposed for Dairyland Greyhound Park would bring $500 million yearly into the area's economy, project officials say.

The project would employ as many as 3,500 people and could spur another 2,500 permanent local jobs in the area, according to an economic impact study.

The figures come from a report compiled by consulting firm PriceWaterhouse Coopers at casino developer Dennis Troha's request.
