Commission returns $5M to casinos - 2004-01-26
The Casino Control Commission returned a combined $5 million to all city gaming halls with the exception of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

The money was left over from funds spent to operate the commission and the Division of Gaming Enforcement for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2003. The Borgata wasn't in operation until July.

The two agencies were authorized to spend up to $64.9 million but used only $59.2 million. The costs of operation are paid by both the gaming halls and various licensing fees paid by employees and vendors.
