Six UK greyhound tracks could be converted into gaming emporiums in a deal involving one of the world’s top casino operators, it was revealed today.
Las Vegas-based MGM Mirage said moves to deregulate the UK gaming industry had sweetened its £270 million takeover of leisure group Wembley.
Card tables, roulette and hundreds of slot machines could be introduced at greyhound tracks, including Wimbledon, Oxford and Portsmouth.
