David Relles: Pro-casino promoters are merely selling a pipe dream - 2004-01-28
I don't typically agree with basketball coach Bobby Knight, but he not long ago said something that is relevant to our current Dane County casino debate. Coach Knight pointed out that there are three ways to view life: "reality, dreams and pipe dreams." He went on to say that "sometimes your dreams come true, but your pipe dreams never do."

What's the difference between a dream and a pipe dream? A dream is grounded in reality and is achievable. A pipe dream, on the other hand, is wishful thinking, an entirely unrealistic fantasy.
