World Poker Tour Events Continue Dramatic Growth - 2004-01-28
The Jack Binion World Poker Open at Horseshoe Casino/ Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, MS which started on January 26, 2004, is the most recent event on the WORLD POKER TOUR to demonstrate the domino effect of the television show's huge popularity.

Records have been set in each of tour stops and the Jack Binion World Poker Open is no exception with a huge increase in players, prize money and first place payout over the previous year's tournament.

WMS Industries eyes U.K. jackpot - 2004-01-28
WMS Industries Inc., the Waukegan-based producer of video slot machines, on Tuesday said it has created a London-based subsidiary to tap into an expanding casino market in the U.K.

The company's British unit, WMS Gaming Ltd., will develop new games for international markets and distribute products outside of North America.

“Over the last few years we have achieved great success in international markets, and the timing is now appropriate to invest additional resources to accelerate our momentum,” WMS President and CEO Brian Gamache said in a statement.
