Dawn Porter, 25, built her concept with a team under the umbrella of VueTec Ltd which creates software for online real time gambling.

After rapid registration as a member, people can play poker, roulette and punto banco against others or the croupier at the Colony Club in Cyprus through a direct video link.

The business, which has its head office in Alderney with six staff, already has a monthly turnover of £1m., which is expected to rise to £5m. by this time next year.

Sheriff's police seize poker machines from 11 businesses - 2004-01-29
Cook County Sheriff's police confiscated 46 video poker machines over the weekend from almost a dozen south suburban businesses suspected of paying off on the games, authorities said.

The raids were conducted Friday night and Saturday afternoon on establishments in Blue Island, Chicago Heights, Dolton, Lemont, Lynwood, Midlothian, South Chicago Heights, Stickney and other areas, Cook County Sheriff's Police spokesman Bill Cunningham said.
