Could a casino be coming to Flint? - 2004-01-29
The city of Flint has come one step closer to building a casino in the city. ABC12's Katie Mitzner had more.

Talk of a casino coming to Flint has been around for years ever since Gov. John Engler made a land deal with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Flint is competing for the casino with Romulus and Monroe County, but before things go further, the city is going to the public for a vote.

Historic Moulin Rouge Unveils Plans To Reopen - 2004-01-29
The fire department said it was arson. It was a multi-million dollar blaze that destroyed an historic casino. Now, plans are being revealed for the new Moulin Rouge. News 3's Denise Rosch reports this week the Moulin Rouge will have a new owner, those owners will close escrow this week, and then plans for the rebuilding can certainly move forward.

Tomorrow night, the signature sign, one of the only things spared by the fire, will be relit, kicking off a bright new future for the Moulin Rouge. Back on May 29, 2003, flames shot up into the early morning sky signaling what many thought would be the end for the Moulin Rouge.
