The money has been coming in in waves for the splashy new property as well.

After six months of operation, the Borgata has distinguished itself in a crowded, highly-competitive market by offering new amenities and appealing to younger gamblers.

It finished the third quarter of 2003 as the second-highest grossing casino in the city.

Brief: Inox surprises for win in Bold Ego Handicap - 2004-01-03
Let go at 12-1 odds, Inox completed her third career stakes win Saturday in the $53,950 Bold Ego Handicap at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino.

Forwardly placed by jockey Martin Bourdieu, Inox fought through a fast pace with Gimme A Clue during the 5 1/2 -furlong sprint for fillies and mares.

The 6-year-old Argentine-bred mare outlasted Gimme A Clue in a stretch-long battle to win by a neck. Inox had won stakes races at Albuquerque and Farmington, N.M., for owners R.D. Hubbard, E.C. Allred and Robert Masterson.
