Casino Will Go On Ballot - 2004-01-31
Residents will get to vote in August on whether they
support bringing an American Indian-owned casino to Flint, even though the idea still might be a longshot.
The Flint City Council on Monday unanimously approved putting the question before voters the Aug. 3 primary ballot.
A casino could generate $18 million to $25 million a year in new revenue for the city, local casino backers say.
