Ken Whitehorse, Son Of Ho-Chunk, Speaks For Casino - 2004-01-31
Education was not a laughing matter in Ken WhiteHorse's family. Today, it's the foundation of his career. WhiteHorse, 51, is a fifth-grade teacher at Schenk Elementary School.

He has also become the television face of the Ho-Chunk Nation in its local ads promoting a "yes" vote for a casino at the DeJope bingo hall, through the Coalition for the Fair Indian Gaming and Revenue Sharing Agreements.

30 employees lose jobs after Reno casino shuts down - 2004-01-31
It tried to be a nitch in Reno but a downtown casino has gone "bust." Rocky's casino and sports bar by the landmark arch in downtown Reno shut down for good Saturday night.

29 workers lost their jobs. The owners, PDS Gaming
Corporation, say indian gaming in California hurt the business so much it couldn't compete. But despite the financial loss, management says they've done their best to take care of staff.
