Tulalip casino workers laid off - 2004-01-31
The Tulalip Tribes Friday fired 240 people from its casino.
Marci Fryberg, the acting general manager of the casino, stated Friday that the move was "not performance-based."
"While decisions like this are extremely difficult, we need to increase the efficiency of our business," Fryberg said. "And that will, in the long run, benefit our tribe and all its members."
