PAL Ball to raise funds for youth - 2004-01-05
Alpharetta’s Police Athletic League (PAL) began as a
youth boxing program in 1996 with two participants.
It has come a long way since then, now offering an array of educational and recreational activities and serving at least 200 young people each year.

Alpharetta PAL operates on a small budget, an annual $25,000 allowance from the city that is used to pay five part-time employees and utilities. Money is also raised during the yearly PAL Ball, and through donations.

PAL has scheduled its annual benefit ball for Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Marriott Hotel at 5750 Windward Parkway. It is a night of formal dining, casino-style faux gambling, dancing, raffle prizes and a silent auction. The public is urged to attend.
