Calcasieu Police Juror-Elect Kevin Guidry is going to court and back to the Louisiana ethics board to fight for the right to keep working at the casino and be an elected official.

An ethics ruling states he cannot do both. But Guidry's lawyers argue it's unconstitutional to deprive riverboat employees from holding elected office: Kevin Guidry is one of two newly elected police jurors facing the prospect of abandoning all or part of their livelihoods-- in order to take office as a Calcasieu Police Juror.

Guidry works at the Isle of Capri and has been notified that because of the state ethics board opinion-- he'll lose his job once he takes office Monday, January 12th.

WillHill.com gets into customer behavior - 2004-01-06
