Casino boat looks for buyer - 2004-01-07
SunCruz Casinos is seeking a buyer to take over the company from Chapter 11, but the change shouldn't have an impact on its operation in Little River, the company said.

Ventures LLC, which is owned by SunCruz Casinos LLC, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. If the business and assets are sold as one, the boat would be able to continue operating even though Horry County has a moratorium on new casino boats, County Councilman Harold Worley said.

If it's sold in pieces, it will be considered a new business and not allowed, he said.
