Casino developers to present Natchez plan to Mississippi regulators - 2004-02-01
The developer of a new casino in Natchez says he will submit his plans to Mississippi gaming regulators in February.

Charles Cato, president of Emerald Star Casino, hopes to buy the Ramada Hilltop and the Briars bed and breakfast and locate the 35,000-square-foot dockside casino just south of the Mississippi River bridge.

The site plan is the first step in gaining approval for a casino license.

Legislation To Require Indian Casino Approval - 2004-02-01
Two East Coast members of Congress want to enhance community involvement with Indian gaming expansion.

U.S. Representatives Christopher Shays, R-Conn., and Frank Wolf, R-Va., on Wednesday introduced the Tribal and Local Community Relationship Improvement Act, which would require state legislatures to approve new Indian casinos.
