Even though senior state Department of Revenue official George Turner has unexpectedly resigned, questions about an immunity deal he may have made for gaming regulators who worked under him remain and could complicate a state criminal case.

Turner, one of the most powerful bureaucrats at the department, who for years oversaw the state's lottery and casino industry, had been on paid administrative leave since Jan. 6 while officials investigated him.

Reno woman pleads guilty in Club Cal Neva robbery - 2004-02-01
A Reno woman has pleaded guilty to her part in a case involving the burglary of $148,000 from a downtown Reno casino.

Lanie Stovall, 45, entered the plea Friday in U.S. District Court to a felony count of interstate transportation of stolen money.

Stovall, who remains in custody, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she’s sentenced April 15.
