Compulsive gambling expert to speak Friday - 2004-02-10
Concerned Citizens against the Casino will introduce
speaker Tom Tucker, president of the Council on Compulsive Gambling of California, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hesperia.

Tucker will address “Problem Gambling: All Its Aspects.”

Tucker has had plenty of experience as a gambling counselor and trainer. He created the California Certified Gambling Counselor Training Course (CCGC) and conducted the first ever professional gambling counselor training Moscow, Russia.

Horse racing seminars continue at Sunland - 2004-02-10
The second installment of Behind the Scenes will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday in Ventanas within Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino.

The complimentary racing session offers an inside view of the world of horse racing. A Continental breakfast and door prizes will be given away.

Leading jockey Casey Lambert and trainer Terry Walker will be the featured guests.

The third Behind the Scenes will be March 13.
