While in Denver for a book signing, Pete Rose told the Denver Post he would never again visit a casino, never bet on football or basketball, never again be seen at a racetrack or wager on a horse race if that's what commissioner Bud Selig would order.
"Where do you want me to sign?" Rose said. "I'll start going to church for Bud." Rose was laughing while making that last comment. "I don't mean to make light of it, but I'm not going to be a hypocrite," either," he said. "... I would miss it. But I'd absolutely give up the track, everything."
