A holiday-making Swiss couple have emerged from their brush with Armourguard down an approximate
$120,000, but up two greenstone pendants, two nights' accommodation and a buffet lunch.
Armourguard took Nadine Rist and Eskil Laubli to lunch at Christchurch Casino yesterday to express the security firm's gratitude after they handed in three boxes of cash which had fallen out of a security vehicle last Thursday.
The couple had earlier expressed disappointment at Armourguard's indifferent response to their act of honesty, which would have earned them 10 per cent of the recovered money in their home country.
