A holiday-making Swiss couple have emerged from their brush with Armourguard down an approximate
$120,000, but up two greenstone pendants, two nights' accommodation and a buffet lunch.

Armourguard took Nadine Rist and Eskil Laubli to lunch at Christchurch Casino yesterday to express the security firm's gratitude after they handed in three boxes of cash which had fallen out of a security vehicle last Thursday.

The couple had earlier expressed disappointment at Armourguard's indifferent response to their act of honesty, which would have earned them 10 per cent of the recovered money in their home country.

Democrats vow to keep slots parlor out of county - 2004-02-12
Gov. Bob Ehrlich's proposal to possibly develop a gambling casino on Interstate 95 in Howard County has instigated a defiant response from several local Democratic legislators.

"Not in my lifetime," Del. Frank Turner, a Columbia Democrat whose district includes most of I-95 in Howard County, said of the proposal. "I think they'll have to take a tractor and run over a couple of us before they build a casino in Howard County."

The possible Howard County casino is part of an Ehrlich proposal to build two slot-machine emporiums along Interstate 95 in Maryland.
