$200,000 keno prize won at Mount Clemens tavern - 2004-02-12
A Mount Clemens area man's decision to visit a local establishment rather than a Detroit casino Wednesday paid off in a winning $200,000 keno ticket.
The man, whose name is "James," won the prize by matching all 10 numbers in the Michigan State Lottery Club Keno game and betting $2. He played the game at John Barleycorn's bar and restaurant, winning at around 1 p.m.
"At first he thought he had eight numbers and then nine numbers," said bartender Annette Androws. "I said, 'Give me the ticket.' I told him, 'You have all 10 numbers.'
