Casino May Be Fined for Nelly's Treatment - 2004-02-19
A Missouri casino may have to pay a fine of $50,000
for allegedly giving the rapper Nelly special treatment.

State regulators claim the President Casino on the Admiral allowed Nelly to skirt rules intended to limit the amount of money patrons can bet. The Missouri Gaming Commission proposed the fine Thursday.

The commission alleges the casino violated some 10 state laws and rules while accommodating Nelly, who in the documents is referred to only as the "Patron."

Investigators have arrested three additional suspects in a casino burglary in which a woman stole $65,900 after telling a cashier she had a bomb

One of the suspects arrested was the cashier at the Grand Casino Tunica, 22-year-old Nataisha L. Joiner, said Alan Thompson, a special agent with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

Also arrested were Jason Godown, 22, in Palmdale, Calif., and Marlon Talley, identified as Joiner's boyfriend.
