Sky City confident of jackpot in Darwin - 2004-02-02
Sky City's previous Australian purchase may score
a mere pass mark, but the company is betting its tilt
at Darwin's largest casino will be a different story.

The casino operator said two weeks ago it was in talks to buy the MGM Grand Darwin casiNo Worth an estimated $A150 million to $A220 million, it would be Sky City's first big casino acquisition since
the $NZ238.6 million Adelaide casino purchase in 2000.

Analysts say Sky City has done a "reasonable" job on Adelaide but believe there is scope for improvement.

Stovall pleads guilty for role in Cal-Neva theft - 2004-02-02
A Reno woman has pleaded guilty to her role in a case involving $148,000 stolen from a downtown Reno casino.

45-year-old Lanie Stovall entered the plea Friday in Reno federal court to a felony count of interstate transportation of stolen money.

Stovall, who remains in custody, faces up to ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she's sentenced April 15th.
