Report: U.S. Department of Labor investigating Binion's - 2004-02-02
Binion's Horseshoe Hotel and Casino and owner Becky Binion Behnen are being investigated by the US Department of Labor concerning 2.5 million dollars in owing employee health insurance claims.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the investigation began two years ago after employees complained their medical bills were not being paid even though Binion's was deducting premiums from their paychecks.

Olivia Newton-John to hold fund raiser for Supreme Court candidate - 2004-02-02
Singer Olivia Newton-John will host a $500 a head campaign fund-raiser in Reno for John Mason, a candidate for a Nevada Supreme Court seat.

The contribution includes a ticket to Newton-John's show Friday night at the Reno Hilton and a private reception with Newton-John at the casino prior to the show.

State Senator Randolph Townsend of Reno and his wife are co-hosting the event.
