The Saratoga Film Forum hosts its 11th yearly Oscar Night Gala at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Canfield Casino.

The event features a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres offered from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the parlor room, followed by a late dinner buffet from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

Large screen viewing of the 76th Academy Awards will be shown throughout the evening.

A silent auction and Oscar 'wagering' will be ongoing as well.

Vega$ Tycoon - 2004-02-25
It's quite known around the hallowed halls of IGN.com that I am, in fact, addicted to Las Vegas. Not so much in the sense of having to dive headfirst into a twelve-step program, but at the end of the day I prefer to be half-drunk and flush with a paycheck in Vegas than watching reruns on the boob tube, even if boobs themselves are involved. There's just something so wrong and yet so right about the lights, smells, perversity, greed, and overt chicaneries of Sin City that just fits me like a glove. I guess that's why I got flipped Vega$ Tycoon, the new tycoon-style city builder from the folks who brought us Monopoly Tycoon.

The premise is simple enough and not all that novel: create a successful hotel/casino empire from the ground up, literally.
