Gas Prices: $2.50 a gallon? - 2004-02-26
The Turtle Stop gas station is in a bizarre location, right between The Rio Hotel and Casino and the on-ramp to the open road, Interstate 15. Many people stop here for gas, and like other places, the prices are high, and they are rising.

The Turtle Station charges more because it's one of the last stops for visitors before, they head home. Tourists may be the target here, but locals use it too.

Capstone Casino to feature Trot Line, gambling, prizes - 2004-02-26
The Student Alumni Association will hold its yearly scholarship fundraising event, Capstone Casino, from 8 tonight to 1 a.m. Saturday in the Ferguson Center Ballroom.

Students dressed in formal attire can buy a $20 ticket at the door to experience a night of gambling, live music, prizes and food.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the SAA Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded each spring during Alumni Weekend.
