Gambling casino ring busted - 2004-02-26 Texas Department of Public Safety troopers busted a gambling casino in North Austin Wednesday night.
Six workers were arrested and 26 people inside the facility were given gambling citations.
Troopers said some of the gamblers and staff were present at a casino raid last year.
"There were a few people that believed that just because some of the proceeds of the gambling operation were being donated to charitable organizations that it was OK, and that doesn't make it OK. Casino guru in MyTravel seat - 2004-02-26 Michael Beckett, the London Clubs chairman who played such a steady hand in the turnround of the casino group, will soon become chairman of MyTravel, the struggling package holiday company.
He will take over from Eric Sanderson at the yearly meeting on March 22. Mr Beckett will earn £200,000
