Harrah's details UK expansion plans - 2004-02-05
The vice-president of US casino operator, Harrah’s Entertainment, Richard Mirman, has unveiled the launch of a new subscription-based gaming venture in the UK and confirmed that Harrah’s is to develop and operate eight gaming sites under a joint deal with UK gambling group, Gala.

The UK subscriptions-based gaming venture will be called LuckyMe and has a light-hearted design, offering eight new games per hour from traditional bingo-type games to variations on popular ‘play for fun’ internet games. There will be online advertising campaigns on sites such as MSN and Yahoo alongside a series of other promotions.

Casino-night family surrenders, denies charity thefts - 2004-02-05
A family of casino-night promoters surrendered Wednesday and did not admit to stealing millions of dollars from churches and charities in Cuyahoga and Summit counties.

Michael Moneypenny, 46; his wife, Milinda, 36; his mother-in-law, Juanita Lambright, 59; and his daughters Darcie, 24, and Alecia, 26, all from the Wayne County community of Rittman, pleaded not guilty in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

Moneypenny's son, Michael Jr., 20, and John Riddle, 26, also of Rittman were arrested Friday.
