A Southery man is celebrating after winning a £10,264.14 jackpot from only one £1 bet at a casino.

Damen Haskett (27), from Feltwell Road, was staying with family in Portsmouth when he decided to have a flutter.

"I have never won anything before," he said.
"We were playing five card stud poker and I had the three, four, five, six and seven of spades – a straight flush.

"Everyone gathered around the table and they said I had won ten per cent of the jackpot."

Tulalips building mall near casino - 2004-02-05
The Tulalip Tribes have signed a 75-year lease with a New Jersey company to construct a shopping center on 47 acres north of their new tribal casino at Quil Ceda Village near Marysville.

"This is very important to the tribe," tribal Chairman Herman Williams Jr. told The Herald of Everett on Tuesday. "This is the synergy we have wanted to create to make our casino a success and to make our tribe a success for generations to come."

The mall will be developed and operated by Chelsea Property Group of New Jersey, which operates 60 such shopping malls. It will have 100 to 120 designer and name-brand stores.
