County drops charges in casino robbery case - 2004-02-06
Prosecutors dismissed charges against a Gallatin County man suspected of trying to rob the Grand Slam Casino in Four Corners in November of 2002.
The decision comes after George Alan Cooper, 27, was sentenced in Yellowstone County towards the end of year to 60 years in prison for robbing six Billings businesses.
"The state estimates that the defendant will not be eligible for parole until 2026," Deputy County Attorney Todd Whipple wrote in court records filed Tuesday.
