House Gaming Chair Meets With Casino Execs - 2004-02-09
Rep. Bobby Moak, D-Bogue Chitto, chairman of the new House Gaming Committee, visited Las Vegas this week to meet with CEOs of a number of casino companies with holdings in Mississippi.
Moak, who traveled there with state Gaming Commission officials, said one of the main reasons for the trip was to encourage the Las Vegas companies to use Mississippi vendors for goods and services for their Magnolia State casinos.
"I think all of them are trying to take some steps to use more local vendors," Moak said.
