Crooner's mom-in-law wins big gambling 1st time - 2004-03-10 "Moon River" crooner Andy Williams was playing blackjack at the Trump 29 Casino last week when a friend came up and told him: "You better come quick, your mother-in-law ..."

Casinofoe eyesHousein future - 2004-03-10 Sen. Adrian Smith of Gering, an increasingly active player in the Legislature who was at the head of the fight that derailed a casino gambling plan this week, is eyeing a possible bid for Congress in 2006.
"I'm looking at it," Smith acknowledged Tuesday.
Smith, a Republican, said he's "very interested" in the 3rd District House seat if GOP Rep. Tom Osborne is not a candidate for a fourth term three years from now.
