Federal gaming panel begins casino review - 2004-03-12
A federal environmental review process has started for the planned Graton Rancheria casino in Rohnert Park, and approximately 200 residents turned out Wednesday to make sure their voices were heard.

The Santa Rosa forum was part of a scoping process designed to identify public and agency concerns and possible alternatives to the property located west of Highway 101, bordered by Wilfred Avenue to the north and Rohnert Park Expressway to the south.

Sonoma County officials also weighed in at the meeting, asking the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) for designation as an official participant in the environmental process.

£20m casino plan for city - 2004-03-12
A multi-million pound Las Vegas-style casino complex may be constructed on the banks of the Mersey, the Daily Post can reveal.

Three international gambling operators were yesterday locked in talks with officers from Liverpool City Council at the Mipim development conference in Cannes on the French Riviera.

Another three leading gambling firms have made approaches to city leaders within the last month with plans to be build what would be the country's largest casino.
