Georgetown Hears Casino Plans - 2004-03-12
Developers of a planned $35 million hotel and casino told the Georgetown Town Council that their vision could generate 600 new jobs, fuel economic growth in Sussex and make the county seat a tourism hub.

The group wants to build a six-story, 150-room hotel and casino with 2,500 slot machines on 75 acres along Del. 404, next to the Wal-Mart store on nearby U.S. 113. The group has signed a contract to buy the land for $8 million. Developers hope to build the complex by 2006.
