Investors talk tough to Sky City - 2004-03-13
Large investors are concerned the casino operator isn't making a big enough splash throughout the Tasman, writes Garry Sheeran.

Some of the country's biggest and most successful institutional investors are giving Sky City a hard time about its decision to buy the Darwin casino.

They are also getting "stuck into" the sharemarket darling about the poor performance of another Australian investment, the Adelaide casino.

They fear hard-earned dollars from a hugely successful Kiwi business enterprise may be tipped down black Aussie holes.

St Thomas Attorney and St Croix Salesman Win Trip to Las Vegas for Bellagio's World Poker Tour - 2004-03-13
Michael Dunston grinned and let out a sigh of relief as a crowd of spectators applauded and cheered for him at Divi Carina Bay Casino on Friday night.

Dunston, an attorney who lives in St. Thomas, defeated nine other poker players after an intense four hours of Texas Hold' Em for a chance to compete in Bellagio's World Poker Tour in Las Vegas next month.

His girlfriend, Rita Jones, could not help letting out a scream: "I'm going to Vegas!"
