Harrah's honors employees during banquet - 2004-03-13
Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel and Bluffs Run Casino not long ago honored 17 workers at the 2003 Chairman's Award banquet which took place at Harrah's Convention Center.

Awards given at the annual event are the highest honors that Harrah's Entertainment Inc. bestows on its team members. Individuals who receive the awards are cited for going above and beyond the call of duty, and are nominated by fellow co-workers for their outstanding internal and customer service efforts.

Wright stuff: "Winky" defeats Mosley - 2004-03-13
Ronald "Winky" Wright defeated "Sugar" Shane Mosley by unanimous decision at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and is now the undisputed 154-pound champion.

Wright, a southpaw, won most of the fight's 12 rounds by landing consistent jabs to go along with a battering left. Except for the fifth, sixth and final rounds, Wright was the more active of the two fighters throughout and clearly in control of the bout.

Judges Dave Moretti and Chuck Giampa both scored
the fight 117-111. Paul Smith had it at 116-112.
