Project revives horse racing at State Fairgrounds - 2004-03-13
Several local developers is proposing to construct a horse racing and video gambling complex at the Michigan State Fairgrounds in Detroit that could be up and operating by the fall of 2005.

Submitted by Detroit Thoroughbred Raceway Inc., led by developer Andrew G. McLemore Jr. and including a group of other investors, the plan will probably face resistance from Detroit’s three interim casinos, the MGM Grand Detroit, Greektown Casino and MotorCity Casino.
