Company that won Illinois' 10th casino license under scrutiny - 2004-03-17
Illinois officials and Wall Street investors are taking a second look at the firm that received Illinois' lasr casino license.

The Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. is known as an operator of casinos in midtier markets. The Illinois Gaming Board on Monday approved the Biloxi, Miss.-based company's $518 million bid to build a casino in Rosemont.

Industry analysts said winning the license could be a transforming event for the company.

Georgetown casino touted: Backer cites losses to Md., Pa. - 2004-03-17
Saying it is "an opportunity to be seized," one of the developers of a proposal to develop a casino, restaurant and entertainment venue to Georgetown presented his plan to Town Council March 10.

Dover attorney Constantine F. Malmberg III outlined a plan by Sussex Entertainment Enterprises LLC to build a $35 million complex on 75 acres off U.S. 113 and Del. 404 to council and a standing-room-only crowd.

"Something's going to come to Sussex County, this is an opportunity to be seized," Mr. Malmberg said.
