Sides state under oath about Taney County referendum on casino - 2004-03-17
A measure that would subject a proposed Rockaway Beach casino to a countywide vote motioned one step closer to a committee vote Tuesday.

HB1547 would need countywide support of a casino after an affirmative vote in a city election. The measure would not impact any casino proposed along the Mississippi and Missouri rivers.

Accused in Ohio shootings caught at Las Vegas motel - 2004-03-17
The man accused in two dozen sniper shootings that have terrorized motorists along Ohio highways was caught at a Las Vegas motel early yesterday.

Conrad Malsom, 60, of Las Vegas, reported he notified authorities that he encountered Mr. McCoy at the Stardust casino on Tuesday. He stated he offered Mr. McCoy a slice of pizza and recognized the disheveled-looking man with darkening facial hair.
