Big-boat legislation receives more analysis - 2004-03-19
Big-boat proprietors breathed a sigh of relief Wednesday, when a legislation that would prohibit them from local canals was withdrawn by the Monroe County Commission.

Some Upper Keys locals feel the ordinance is aimed at the SunCruz casino boat that plies the Port Largo canal in Key Largo. In past years, homeowners along the canal have criticized that the 87-foot SunCruz has hit docks and docked boats on a number of occasions.

New Brunswick continues to protest against casinos in the province, Premier Bernard Lord reported Friday after an assembly with Indian leaders.
